Contact your local appraisal district for all the details but here are the qualifications:
- You occupy the property on January 1st of the tax year in which the exemption is granted.
- The address on your government issued ID card matches your homestead property.
- You submit application on or before April 30th of the tax year in which the exemption is granted.
